U.S. Politics, & I'm talking about National level in particular, has always been a study in pendulum swings.

Over the last 40 years, give or take a handful or so, we've seen those swings move further and further away from center...Resulting in today, what can only be described as pretty much the most Liberal swing, outside of a world war.

Without delving derper into this reality, I have to ask the questions, "Are we as Americans willing to proceed in this way? Have we given up on the idea that there indeed are more things which connect us, & make us, not only as Americans, but Humans, more equal than opposite?"

With each swing of the pendulum, the weight drops a bit more, slightly scraping the base supporting it. It digs a crevasse, without realizing it, there is a vast canyon there, making it next to impossible to allow either moderate side to communicate anymore.


If history shows us anything, the 'natural' response to this extreme left swing, will be an extreme right swing.

Political extremes, regardless of their moderate bases, serve more harm than good. These extremes however, make for great press, for a press now more interested in ratings/ad time that actual fact reporting/investigative journalism.

"Got the Bubble headed Bleach Blonde, who comes on at five. She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye. It's interesting when people die, give us dirty laundry."


We can already see that it seems there will be no attempt at diminishing the arc of the pendulum's swing this mid-term or the next presidential election cycle.

We the VOTERS have to limit that swing, and we need to do THAT by not eating the rancid fruit  laden  MSM reporting served to us buffet style due to the 24 hour news cycle. No,  we must not only educate, & investigate everything for ourselves, by sifting through the blurbs vomited to us by the MSM, by searching out what may be considered 'Out there' blogs and discussion forum sites, and researching each individual political candidate...Honestly, from the municipal level on up.

We must do this for ourselves, and help those around us do this as well.

If we do not, well, let's just say that no one will have any further reason to complain about our general situation...from the local level, to the international stage.

People won't wake up and smell the coffee until jackboots kick in their doors man. Truth is, there's always been a minority that thinks for themselves. I don't think that will change anytime soon, and the last 2 elections for president prove that.

It is high time we as Americans, take the extra effort I put forth, so that this type of shit does not continue.
